100% local processing

How to use JPG Compressor

  1. Choose a static JPG or JPEG from your device, or create the built-in sample.
  2. Start with quality 80, then lower it gradually if you need a smaller file. The original dimensions stay the same.
  3. Run compression, inspect the preview and compare the original size, result size and space saved before downloading.

Choose the right settings

  • For product photos, check fine text, edges and textures before publishing. A quality value is an encoder setting, not a percentage of detail retained.
  • If your image is also too wide or tall, resize it first. If compression does not make it smaller, the original is retained and no use is charged.
MORE ABOUT Compress JPG

Simple tools. Thoughtful details.

Make photos easier to share, publish, and add to your store. Choose a quality setting, compare the file sizes, and keep the version that works for you. JPG compression is lossy: a lower quality setting can reduce detail. We keep the original dimensions unless you use the image resizer.

Static JPG, PNG, and WebP. Up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels per image. Modern browser required.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. This tool reads and processes your photo inside your browser. Only account and usage metadata is sent to our API; the photo itself stays on your device.

Will every JPG get smaller?

Already optimized photos may not get smaller. If the result is larger, we keep your original and tell you that the current settings did not improve its size.

Does compression change image quality?

JPG uses lossy compression. Lower quality settings generally create smaller files with less detail. Preview the result before you download.
